Internet Filtering Software: Choose The Very Best

Internet Filtering Software: Choose The Very Best

Why do you need the best avaiable internet filtering software?

The Internet keep growing in complexity. There was a time when pornography was limited to the fringes of the world wide web. Nowadays, it’s everywhere! To safeguard moral values in your household, you need more than a parental filter: you need a full-featured and up to date internet filter software.

How I realized I needed a internet filtering software.

It was just yesterday, when I realized my standard internet parental filter wasn’t doing the trick. After family dinner was over, I was helping one of my nephews do some research for a school paper. I was so focused on the actual research, that I barely noticed a pornographic advertisement that was sitting the corner of an otherwise decent website.

When I looked at my nephew, I realized he was barely paying attention to what I was saying, regarding his school paper. He was just sitting there with an awkard look in his face. I was about to ask him if he was confused about something, when I finally noticed that ugly and explicit “adult service” banner on the corner of the website.

Needless to say, I immediately closed that page. But the incident really got me thinking… a convencional pornography blocker that will merely limit access to dirty websites just won’t do the trick, in this day and age.

Pornography runs rampant on the Internet, and oftentimes we don’t even realize the extent of the corruption. That’s because our own moral filters are already in place, as to safeguard us from being exposed to perverse content. But children don’t have such filters, and that’s just why it’s vital getting internet filtering software that is 100% effective.

After that incident last night, I decided I’d spend the morning today researching on the best internet filtering software available on the market.

Question by Photomed: What is the best non-invasive internet filtering software?
I am looking for filtering software to block pornography sites only. I do not want one that will block just about anything (I hate those). Is there such a thing?

Oh, and I also don’t want any reporting capabilities.

Net Nanny is probably the best one out there. However, it is not free.

If you don’t want to spend money, I recommend trying Freeshield. It is almost as good as Net Nanny.

www.futuresoft.com Schools and libraries are using DynaComm ifilter as their web filtering software of choice to protect their Internet users from inappropriate content. The flexibility of DynaComm ifilter allows administrators the ability to create various rule sets based off of particular groups and needs. Implement these rules to block by the predefined categories, or create an approved white list. Further filter Internet access by time of day, protocols, and file types. Take advantage of DynaComm i:filter’s ability to look for keywords in URLs and impose quota based browsing.
